My name's Roberta Chies. Nice to meet you!
I’m going to tell you a bit more about my career so you can get to know me better!
I’m Brazilian and I live in the Netherlands, in the capital Amsterdam, where the cultural diversity is notorious, as well as the bikes’ coming and going. There are over 180 nationalities living in a diverse context, dealing with multiple cultural, artistic, technological, gastronomic aspects – and much more.
I used to live in Tuscany, which is located in Bella Italy and looks a lot like my home state, Rio Grande do Sul. The bright colors, the nature and the love in both places allude to my essence, just like the words in the song by native singer Leonardo: “sky, sun, south, earth and color, the place where everything you plant will grow yet love is the thing that flourishes the most”.
MY ROOTS
I was born in Rio Grande do Sul, which is located in the south of Brazil. Despite of the fact that it is the coldest state in the country, our hearts remain warm all year round.
We’re called “Gaúchos” and we’re very proud of that! Our lineage is intercultural; it’s a gorgeous blend of indians, black people, Italian and German immigrants. I can certainly see that on me because that’s how I feel, a little native and a little gringo…
I come from a beautiful family that carries those roots very strongly and that has taught me wonderful things, but something very important and simple in particular: the verb To Love!
I love the earth, crops, families, people, customs, behaviors, cultures, colors, history, order and organization, innovation and the beauty in everything.
I also love big city buildings, the craziness of a metropolis, new findings, unknown paths, the natural curiosity for the unknown, but I especially love life and everything it may bring to us.

MY PATH
Along the way, I combined my curiosity about modern times and the Industrial Revolution with my creativity and love for the world of art.
My Business and Interior Design majors have qualified me to use that combination to make me a more complete and passionate professional!
As a person who walks around and watches the behavior of the society, people and time, thanks to Coolhunting I’ve been able to see the signs and trends that surround us more deeply.
I intend to bring the World of Design to more and more people so that there’s more color, beauty and cultural difference in your life as well! In order to achieve that, I carefully choose content on such an interesting and exciting world!
PROFESSIONAL STEPS
Besides the content provided in my website, newsletter and blog, you can also bring design into your life and business through my work.
With the Curatorship of Design, I’ll choose and manage all design, art and decoration products for you or your business! This is done in such a way that it creates a link between you and/or your business and the history and identity of each element. I’ll also oversee and organize every step of the process in a very competent and careful manner.
With the Trend Analysis, I’ll read every current sign, so as to show you the changes that are about to come by analyzing Trend Reports and reading articles about design, culture, art and fashion. Thus, your company will be a step ahead of others so you can plan the future more assertively. Watching, analyzing and knowing how to interpret where we stand are essential values for your business to succeed!
